I love working with students to help them reach their full potential on the GRE. I don't use a cookie-cutter approach, but rather understand the level at which students are scoring, and tailor my instruction to meet their needs. If you're already scoring in the 75th percentile or higher, we'll work on more challenging concepts, whereas if you're scoring in the 50th percentile we'll hammer on the fundamentals.
I also don't simply show you how to solve a problem. I work with students to help them understand the underlying concepts, as well as tips and tricks to help you move through the test more efficiently. I know studying for the GRE can be frustrating, but by tailoring our sessions to your needs and setting up a study system that best works for you, we'll be on track to surpass your goals.
As you may know, the GRE changed formats in 2011 -- I have taken the new test, scored in the 95th percentile or higher in all sections, and will help you prepare for its intricacies. Here are my scores:
Verbal: 165 (96th percentile)
Quantitative: 167 (95th percentile)
Writing: 5.5 (96th percentile)
I can also work with students who would like some help in statistics or algebra.
I did my undergraduate studies in political science at the University of Pennsylvania, and have completed graduate coursework at NYU in statistics, economics, and accounting. Before moving to New York, I worked in Washington D.C. as a market research analyst and enjoyed my time tutoring in college.
